How does Velumount help against snoring?
Velumount is an individually customized mouth brace that prevents snoring and interruption of breaths. It is light, flexible and weighs only a few grams. The brace is not comparable with a dental brace and it is independent of the dentition.
The Velumount brace stabilizes the soft palate (velum) and mechanically keeps the Pharynx above the soft palate open. Thus, preventing the annoying snoring sound.

The Velumount brace is worn at night and is available in many different sizes and shapes. The choice of the brace depends on the anatomy of the individual, the wearing comfort, and the goal that needs to be achieved.
During the initial adjustment session, the appropriate size of the brace is evaluated and then fitted to the anatomy of each person. Experienced and competent Velumount instructors teach the patient how to use the light, barely visible brace correctly.
